This 4-day intensive retreat is designed to move you from career confusion to clarity and action.
Here’s the typical flow:
You arrive in McMinnville in the afternoon and meet Susan and Sandy for a welcome drink and a first assessment. They ask questions that cut through the story you tell yourself to what’s actually true. What do you love about your work? What drains you? If money weren’t an issue, what would you do?
Susan and Sandy create such acceptance that you find yourself being honest about professional dissatisfaction you’ve hidden, even from yourself.
The morning session explores what’s been driving your career decisions. Through systemic work, you see family messages about work, cultural conditioning about success, beliefs you inherited about what’s possible. Maybe you learned “creative work doesn’t pay” or “stay in secure jobs” or “ambition is selfish.” Seeing where these came from loosens their grip.
In the afternoon you’ll enjoy a AromaTouch Massage at our favourite Spa in town. Time to integrate and soften before we continue to uncover what actually excites you.
Interactive activities that bypass your practical inner voice to access genuine passion. What work would feel like play? What problems do you want to solve? What impact do you want to make? Patterns emerge showing you directions you hadn’t considered.
With clarity on what’s been holding you back and what genuinely interests you, day three focuses on possibilities. Susan and Sandy guide you through envisioning your ideal professional life. Not the one you should want, the one you actually want.
You explore options: pivoting within your field, complete career change, entrepreneurship, part-time work for more freedom, using your skills differently. The coaches help you get realistic about what each path requires while honoring what feels exciting, even if scary.
The final day translates vision into action. You create a practical plan with concrete next steps. Maybe that’s informational interviews, taking a course, starting a side project while still employed, financial planning for transition. Susan and Sandy help you sequence steps logically and identify support you’ll need.
You also plan for obstacles: fear that will arise, doubt that will creep in, practical challenges you’ll face. Having strategies prepared helps you navigate setbacks without abandoning your path. You leave with clear direction and tools for moving forward even when it gets hard.

Susan and Sandy both work with you throughout the retreat. Two perspectives on your career challenges, two sets of questions that unlock what you can’t see yourself. One coach might pick up on fear patterns while the other sees untapped strengths. This dynamic creates breakthroughs faster than working with one coach alone.
This retreat goes beyond practical career planning to explore what work would actually feel meaningful to you. What lights you up? What would make you excited to get up on Monday morning? Susan and Sandy help you identify work aligned with your values and purpose, not just your skills.
Career change is scary. Susan and Sandy don’t bypass this, they work directly with your fears. Through systemic work, you’ll see where beliefs about career, success, and money came from. Understanding the source helps you release what’s not actually true for you.
Interactive Exercises Reveal Hidden Passions
Creative, non-traditional exercises help you access what talking alone can’t reach. You might discover a passion for work you’d dismissed as impractical, or realize your current skills translate to fields you hadn’t considered. The interactive format bypasses your inner critic.
Practical Action Planning
You don’t just gain clarity and hope, you leave with concrete next steps. Whether that’s researching specific fields, reaching out to contacts, taking a course, or starting a side project, you’ll have a realistic roadmap. Susan and Sandy help you break big scary changes into doable first steps.
Understanding Career in Life Context
A systemic approach helps you see how family patterns, cultural messages, and life circumstances shaped your career choices. Maybe you chose security because of childhood scarcity. Maybe you pursued prestige to prove something. Seeing these patterns helps you choose differently now.
This private retreat is exclusively designed for you and with you!
The first time we meet, you will be on a pre-retreat Zoom Call two weeks before you arrive. We will discuss the retreat, you can share all your preferences and wishes and we’ll get to know each other a little bit.
Day 1—On your arrival day, we will welcome you to McMinnville in the afternoon with a Welcome drink. Together we will set the intention for your days with us and do our first session together. You will then have time to settle into your Hotel or Airbnb.
Day 2, 3 & 4 – We will start working together around 9 am.
We offer daily intensive coaching sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon/early evening. The duration of each session depends on your personal needs and can be between one and three hours.

As a lifelong counselor and life coach, Susan embodies her craft. As a Professional Certified Retirement Coach in the later chapters of her own life, she understands the urgency of taking inventory of what still matters most.
“This is the time to ensure there are no regrets—to feel fulfilled by caring for your unfinished dreams,” she says.
Susan is always looking for opportunities to support others in believing in themselves. She has a natural and passionate interest in what makes people tick—what makes each person uniquely who they are. In her coaching work, she hears and senses patterns that both support and obstruct self-development.
She sees her role as guiding people into their essence and authenticity, the most effective place from which to live and make decisions. With a Master’s degree in counseling and years of experience in education and business settings, Susan easily relates to people from diverse backgrounds.
She helps clients chip away at their own interior sculpture, revealing and shaping what’s been waiting within. Susan is a passionate life teacher.
Sandrina Weller offers a unique global perspective informed by her experiences living and working across cultures. As a bi-national citizen and fluent English speaker, Sandy is always translating through the lens of language, culture, and meaning.
She recognizes that even people speaking the same language constantly assume meaning through what is being said, yet often miss what is actually being communicated. Sandy uses this insight to slow down communication with her clients in profound ways, creating space for deeper inquiry and reflection.
As a Systemic Integrative Coach and Breath Work Coach, she helps women break free from limiting patterns and uncover new perspectives on life. Her coaching tools help clients “jump the system” of chronic thinking and behavior patterns, opening a wider view of the various systems they belong to.
Sandy’s playful, curious approach and wide-ranging life experiences make her a compassionate and inspiring guide for women navigating change. She is deeply committed to the challenges and dilemmas facing women today.
